Pros
Literally none, every aspect of this role was a downgrade from my prior company
Cons
In the short time I was with Bunzl there was no signs of life from the Heartland Market, poor leadership and overwhelming signs of a tanking division. The day you walk in the door and get handed a leftover computer and are told to set up all of your programs, access, and travel on your dime then file for reimbursement I should have ran at that point because from there the experience only got worse. This division is trending in a bad direction...forcing retirement and not backfilling essential roles, moving customer operations offsite, forcing their warehouses to perform daily without proper equipment and in an unsafe manner...essentially the employees do not matter to the Heartland Market leadership and you will find that out fast. The current Hearland market Leadership has decided to run it like a bottom of the basement, cut-throat 3PL/4PL with no regard to safety or employee satisfaction...if you are looking for a company to enjoy your work and stay a long time then THIS IS NOT IT. - Toxic Culture - Expensive benefits - Little to no communication from Heartland Market leadership in regards to Goals, expectations and performance - Poor employee performance review process (leaders literally dictated the same low % raise to all employees without rate or rank) - 2nd shift positions are grossly understaffed and the people who do show up are forced to work 12-16 hours nightly during the holidays - Drivers are forced to max out their hours and always be fatigued - Heartland Market leadership is completely disconnected and disconcerned with any positive change going on...they will speak to you unprofessionally and belittle facility leadership and staff similar to a verbal abuser. I literally watched much of our location staff go through anxiety attacks when Heartland Market leadership sends emails or calls.
