Pros

There's a genuine developer culture on the front-end and you are encouraged to be pro-active with new technologies. I've heard that dev teams (for games) have become smaller, leaner and fairly autonomous, but backed with the resources (e.g. internal workshops on new tech) that a largish corporation like Gamesys can offer. So all in all a good place to both start out as a junior dev and also hone your skills as an experienced developer.

Cons

As with all large organisations there are cliques, favouritism, jobsworths, people operating their own agendas, and 'here be dragons' legacy codebases that no one really wants to touch.

Pros

Cool office Good location Occasionally free food Beer in fridge

Cons

Everything else. The office is usually a ghost town. Training is poor, exceptionally poor. Trainer acts as if annoyed when you ask a question. HR is remote, unreachable, and does not care about employees. It is clear overall that Bally’s doesn’t care about employees in the slightest. Terrible benefits. You have to pay $150 out of your own pocket to go through licensing. Why do you think we’re working? The company should cover all expenses. I wish I never accepted this job, it’s just been a waste of time and a rollercoaster. They will also mismanage your paycheck. Unorganized from top to bottom and not a good place to work. Diversity is lacking and it’s apparent. Very odd vibe in the office. Poor technology provided. When you think Bally’s think “bare minimum” because that’s what you’ll receive.
