Pros

1. Full WFH environment 2. 'Chill' culture 3. Inbound leads - no hunting for leads but lead quality will vary GREATLY. You can expect anywhere from 10-15 leads a day. 4. Unlimited PTO at the time of joining and was never denied PTO 5. A lot of great AE's who mean well and care about the mission

Cons

1. Misleading 'uncapped commission' promised during interview process with OTE being in the 80-90k range. Real OTE at the time of working there was around 65-70k range. 2. Only about 30% of AE's are hitting goal each month. OTE is very difficult to achieve. 3. Inside sales role but management treats you like you are a true outside sales rep who prospects their own leads (you don't - you get a set amount of relatively cold leads every day that you can contact) 4. On the phone for 3-4 hours a day speaking with older customers who cant hear you or don't know who Audicus is. 5. Little to no support from management after initial training/ramp period 6. Lack of transparency with leads. Some super hot leads will be repeat customers who are coming back to buy again and those only get sent to selected AE's - not round robin. 7. Politics and bureaucracy in a small company - can be toxic at times. 8. Never had a QBR meeting with my sales manager even though I was supposed to have multiple during my tenure. 9. Turn over on the sales team was ridiculous. Team of about 15 reps and two AE's on average were leaving or being fired each month. 10. Sales managers are not impressive at all and offer little to no tangible assistance in your day to day work flow. 11. No 401k match or stock purchasing plan. Simply a cog in the machine and you never have feeling that Audicus truly wants you invested long term in the company. 12. Witnessed fraudulent activity from AE's who would sign financing contracts for older customers in their name. Nothing but slaps on the wrist from management when they found out. Disappointing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re sorry your experience did not meet expectations. Audicus is committed to creating an inclusive, open environment so we can continue to evolve and improve as an organization. While last year was a tumultuous year for many companies with the markets, and unfortunately had a few departures throughout that time. We’re still proud that we were able to grow our sales team by 20% over that time and having 3 promotions within that team. We are committed to providing growth and development opportunities for our staff and extra support via performance coaching or PIPs for those falling behind. We offer a unique product and thus unique sales environment working directly with the hearing aid user, which can be tough but rewarding. We have an open door policy for feedback at all levels and encourage team members to bring up any concerns while with us. Also, we provide an anonymous feedback form for those not comfortable bringing it up directly with senior leadership. This is constantly monitored & actioned by leadership. However, we do take this feedback seriously. Any misconduct by employees is investigated and handled according to policy and situation, with disciplinary action and/or termination implemented where appropriate. As we grow as a startup, we are committed to making our benefits, tools/resources more robust. We have already consolidated some tech stacks, implemented more tools to support engaging feedback and coaching to sales reps have more constructive 1:1s. We are dedicated to supporting our team so that they can continue to provide amazing support/service to our customers to allow them easier access to hearing care.

Pros

- Super strong sense of purpose and mission within the company - A strong team of great people - While Audicus is a later-stage company, there's a lot of opportunity for people to contribute in different ways to drive the business -- this creates nice development opportunities for employees looking to expand their skill sets

Cons

- While its been around for over 10 years, it still has a start-up culture ... this is not really a con, but something to be aware of. It's a fast-paced, high-octane environment that may not be a great fit for people used to super-well defined and narrow roles found in large companies.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that our mission-driven culture and team spirit stood out to you — we take a lot of pride in building a company that’s not only focused on transforming hearing health but also on fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment. It’s great to know that you found opportunities to grow and contribute across the business — that kind of ownership and agility is something we truly value. You also make a fair point about our fast-paced, start-up-style environment. While it may not be for everyone, we believe that this kind of energy keeps us innovative and helps us continue evolving as we scale. We appreciate your perspective and are grateful you were part of the Audicus journey! – The Audicus Team

Pros

The one shining star and silver lining of this company was the friends I made along the way. The close knit friendships I formed that still exist to this day I cherish so dearly and that is the one thing that this company has provided that I will thank them for. Quite literally, they have zero other pros they can offer.

Cons

Leadership and C-suite at this company is wildly mismanaged and an absolute nightmare. The sales team is plagued by unrealistic goals and is pushed to make dangerous sales. The customer service team is underpaid, understaffed, and set up to fail, all while expected to reach ridiculous KPIs. There is no HR department to speak of and no interdepartmental accountability to speak of. They love to promise promotions under the guise of additional pay — instead you’re likely to get more work, new responsibilities, new title… but same pay. My advice - stay away.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we're truly sorry to hear that parts of your time at Audicus didn’t meet expectations, we’re glad that our culture helped you build strong friendships that continue to have a positive impact — that means a lot to us, and we’re happy that it was part of your experience here. We also want to address some of your concerns directly. We’re committed to setting realistic, achievable KPIs across all departments, informed by historical performance and regularly reviewed. Many team members have met or exceeded these goals, and we provide ongoing training and coaching to support their success. We recognize that as a startup, some roles evolve quickly and can come with growing responsibilities. While that pace can be challenging, we aim to ensure that changes in scope are aligned with compensation and career development opportunities — and we’re actively working to improve clarity and transparency around promotions and pay structures. Regarding HR: while we may not have a traditional large HR team, we have dedicated people operations staff and take employee concerns seriously. We maintain an open-door policy and offer multiple ways to share feedback, including both confidential and anonymous channels. Creating a safe, respectful workplace is a priority for us, and we're always working to strengthen support and accountability across the organization. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your next chapter. – The Audicus Team
