Pros

They recycle. And office supplies are plentiful.

Cons

Everything else, and I truly wish I had something more positive to say, since I've seen some people enjoy their time there. The pay and benefits start terrible and will never get any better, so don't ever expect to be paid your worth no matter how hard you work. Promises are made in every category to try to inspire hope and prevent a mass exodus, but there is zero follow through. The people 'in charge' who supposedly care about the wellbeing of the company actively fight any sort of change and then accuse employees of not being 'a team player' if anyone dares to bring up (politely) a contradictory opinion, and would rather have meetings about how low employee morale is than try to improve morale (which is spectacularly low, regardless of what anyone tells you). The partners very clearly run this company to line their own pockets--just look at the cars they drive, and then see what your paycheck looks like. Certain employees work at a bare minimum, others work their fingers to the bone, but management is fine with substandard performance as long as no one complains that things aren't perfect. The work culture itself is shameful, with rampant favoritism, pettiness, and one of the high ranking members of the office very regularly speaks to people like garbage and treats them terribly. Any problem will be your problem and only your problem, and good luck finding the strength to constantly be told you're wrong even if you were never trained properly to begin with. There are no universal standards, every single leader has different expectations, and there is no 'safe space' for any complaint- everything bad that happens, expect it to come back and bite you. You will be miserable until you leave. All of this is a hundred percent honest, and I wish I had better things to say. I think a lot of people come here with hopes and dreams, and they get smoke blown in their faces and a lot of negativity.

Pros

Ashar Group appears like a small family company, but they are the national authority on life insurance settlements and evaluation. We who work there are treated like part of the family. The company is very appreciative of their employees and does all they can to make us comfortable and show how much we are valued. The work we do can get complicated, but there is a lot of support all the way up the chain of command. It is truly up-lifting working on solutions for our clients, who are very appreciative of all we do to help them. Ashar Group is an awesome company to work for.

Cons

None really. Because of the nature of the business, we can't permanently work from home, but they are flexible and understanding and generously supportive of a positive work/life balance. They, also, make it a priority to give positive feedback and encouragement.

Pros

There are several reasons I have been a loyal Ashar team member for the last 14+ years. Being a family run business, I appreciate their family first outlook. I have witnessed the company make great efforts to provide flexibility when employees experience life events/challenges. I experienced this with the death of my father, my mother’s surgeries, and the births of my grandchildren. They also make it a priority to provide the team with the latest technology and equipment so we can work comfortably and efficiently. When the pandemic started, everyone was sent home with everything needed to make their temporary work station as functional as possible. This included office supplies, extra monitors, office chairs, and even desks if desired. Finally, I appreciate that I and several members of my team have had the opportunity to attend certification and continuing education courses. I am happy to work for a company that sees the value of investing in their employees.
