Opportunities and experience are decent but you need to be prepared to 'play the game' and press the right flesh to get ahead. The breakfasts in the café are quite good.
Cons
Ruthless, and self-absorbed 'leaders' who like to talk a good game. U.S. style management consultant ethos and terminology pervade the organisation. The leadership don't particularly inspire respect and there is a culture of self-aggrandisement, narcissism and nepotism. It is clear that everything is geared toward the shareholder rather than investing in providing a first class service. Lots of bluster from a marketing department with a unwarranted sense of self-importance. Ruthless HR department where 'means to an end' is order of the day. Pay and salary are well below market average. Persistent non-organic growth and acquisitions means that integration will be a recurring issue. The ditching of well respected brands such as EC Harris and Hyder in markets where Arcadis reflect a certain arrogance.
