Pros
-Incredible bonus structure -weekly paid commission -monthly paid renewals -warm leads paid for by the company -all the sales materials and scripts already written I have worked in commission sales jobs since I was 13 years old. In any other job I've had there was no leads, commission was paid once a month, There was quarterly bonus's if you were lucky, and management really took all the good clients so that new people were stranded and could barely survive unless they were incredibly fast at learning. Altig is the most successful branch out of American income life. They are the "winning" team. The reason why is because of the amazing leadership development and management. Managers literally only get paid when the new people they hire and train make money. I've never seen a commission sales job that people can start at and (after working at McDonald's previously) make over 100k their first year. Anybody writing a bad review for this company should never have gotten into commission sales because they are not mentally strong enough. In sales you get more no's then yes's and once you understand that and put pressure on the system that they have created instead of on yourself you become successful. It's that simple. I have worked here for 2 years and the only people that don't make it are the ones that give up or that don't speak English. In the past two years I've made close to 300k and I've never been in insurance before. That is AMAZING. Every year because of your renewals (when you make a sale it pays you until the client stops paying) you get a minimum 5k-10k raise. Another thing is you can change locations and move somewhere to open your own office. I'll say that again...the company will pay for you to open your own office. Your in charge. You make all the money. The opportunity here is unlimited.
Cons
Sometimes managers take a risk and hire somebody that doesn't seem competent. That results in them not working and being depressed which then results in them quitting and writing a bad review about how their cheque wasn't garunteed if they didn't follow directions and go to work. When people write bad reviews it makes it hard to recruit good candidates because they get scared off by the faulty bad reviews. Combatting the bad reviews is definitely the worst part about the job. It's not that bad compared to my huge pay checks but it makes my job a little harder.
