Pros
-Decent health insurance options
-Nice to have Ambit University and the support provided for getting certifications
-Nice folks at HQ, but a little inattentive and oblivious
-Had a solid Ambit team at client site
-4 weeks vacation
Cons
-Low pay for quality of work provided
-HQ seems to favor some client sites/offices over others, mine was not valued much it seemed
-Process for promotions/salary raises/bonuses was very unclear and seemed under the table unless you were in the know or had those ties to key leaders
-Didn't seem like those who did get rewarded deserved it and some who didn't really deserved it
-No real thought leadership from this company, it's a plain old boring contractor with ideas of grandeur that they're never able to implement because of the aforementioned inattentive and oblivious HQ folks
-Slow response times given layers of responsibility between on-site team leads and HQ
-No clear indication or communication of how to navigate those layers of bureaucracy
-I'm still not sure what culture HQ is referring to when they give the Ambit culture talk... there is no discernible org culture that I experienced
-It was a small business trying to grow, but along the way it seemed like it acquired the worst aspects of the small and large org. From the small org - the disorganization and lack of resources for doing cool innovative things and from the large org - the layers of bureaucracy and lack of communication
