Pros
The co-worker atmosphere was pleasant and the perks were nice (snacks, massages, beer, etc.), but they were not enough to make up for the negatives. Seems like it was the adult equivalent of a kid giving you candy so you'll be their friend.
Cons
Open-style cubicles mean you're essentially working in a giant conference room all day. One day you're the golden child, then the next day you're wondering if you'll have a job. On many occasions, an afternoon meeting with a client ended with a next-day deadline for a report, which meant pulling an unplanned all-nighter.
