Pros
You are able to gain a lot of experience at ASM by growing professionally within the company. I started as an intern with little to no experience and worked my way into a entry level position. That led to a position on a contract where I am given many opportunities to learn new tools and skills.
The main reason I was able to do this was by the close relationship I have with my supervisor. ASM emphasizes this and as an employee, you always feel able to talk to your manager about your goals, career path, or any problems you face. If you don't like your current position at ASM, talk to your manager and they can help find a better fit within the company.
One of the best parts of working at ASM is the ability to have a life outside of work. This is a priceless benefit that a lot of people with they had. ASM management encourages a good work life balance which in return prevents burn out resulting in you being more productive at work. If I need a personal day or a week at the beach, it's not a problem. You won't be working 80 hour weeks. You don't feel like a prisoner to your job. It's by far one of the best parts of working at ASM Research.
