Pros

-Working from home -Free parking

Cons

-They discriminate against women over the age of 35. They only want young female employees. -They discriminate against women in regards to promotions. They man-splain to you that they know what's best for you. -They fire female employees quickly, but promote male employees even when those male employees were warned multiple times about their inappropriate behavior. -There is massive favoritism, and you constantly have to suck up to your manager if you want to keep your job. -They have weak, inexperienced managers who act like you owe them something or that you should be grateful to be in their glorious presence. You have to constantly listen to them tell you how great they are or what great things they accomplished at their previous companies. Yawn!

Pros

HR team was professional and supportive.

Cons

Lack of structure: No workflows, timelines, or standard procedures for core payroll processes. Key tasks like payroll run dates and 401(k) reporting deadlines were undefined. Disorganized resources. Unrealistic expectations: This role was posted as part-time, but required constant availability, immediate responses, and explanations for even the smallest payroll fluctuations. Management challenges: Manager’s communication style was unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, creating a stressful work environment. Expectations often shifted last-minute, and accountability was deflected rather than addressed. Role misalignment: Assigned responsibilities (compliance, state documents, workflows) went far beyond the scope of a part-time coordinator role.
