Poor management

Pros

A good place to work and have another good job. Having Edit Crew as unique job is not possible and with the time is getting worse. No joke, people is the only good thing on this company, they have a good team and really kind people to work with.

Cons

1. Scoring for editors is poorly managed and makes no sense, nobody understands what is going on with the company but they keep letting go people for whatever reason they justify with a bad scoring form. 2. The company is poorly managed. The founder decided to get out of the boat and hired a new CEO that knows nothing about the business model of Edit Crew. He keeps firing people and insisting on working with more and more AIs even when he is not permitting any budget for new platforms and services. 3. There is no opportunity for growth or justified raises, they keep telling people the don't have money to raise any salary and the professional growth in the company is completely decided by only one guy. 4. Project Managers and Creative Project Managers keep trying to improve stuff but as timegoes on, new hires are being brain washed with upper management ideas of poor management. 5. There are no clear objectives for the business, they are not open on receiving ideas on how to make the company grow so the boat is slowly sinking. 6. No benefits at all, no bonuses, no equipment, no nothing. 7. Everyone is quitting by this moment. We have had 3 success manager in the last 6 months, 3 CPMs quit and 2 PMs on the last month, is crazy.

Pros

All the PMs and Co workers are really friendly, it’s a remote job, they have a verity of clients and you can have a great portfolio.

Cons

The payment is poor, at the beginning I tough it was fair because all the editors have just one client but now that they are growing the editors have to manage more than 1 client. I once had 3 clients for months. They get crazy hiring a bunch of people and then when they lose clients they start to fire people. The performance feedback is not fair at all, de PMs have more power over the editors, even though they make you fill a monthly survey of how you feeling they don’t read it. I’m like the 10th one that fire out of no where and the process they have when let people go is the most inhumane way posible. They make you feel everything is ok, they tell you they are going to pay you your aguinaldo in advance to everyone. (When is actually your finiquito) and then they schedule a meeting and then the charge un this (Petar) says: let’s make this quicke because I’m feeling sick (this happens with 2 ex coworkers friend of mine that I’m still in touch with) and when he said that I knew the next was your performance in here is not enough for the expectations for the company so we are letting you go, please back up all you have while we are in the call, do you have anything to say? My PM looked scared and didn’t know about this decision. I told why is that and he told me it was because communication I told him how so, I communicate all the time with my PM and coworkers and he just told me, the decision is already taken so please upload everything. I told him to give me a few minutes to process everything and give me an hour to upload everything and he told me: no, you must do it right now while we are in a call. Everything with the worst tone, like you did the worst of your performances. So disappointed, they make you feel like you are working in a very transparent and friendly company but they are a really unstable company that hire people like crazy and when they loose clients let go great people that trust in the proyect and in their leaders. Not recommended… for the payment, that trust me is nothing compare with all the workload.and for the performance feedbacks and thers no chance to grow. hope they improve because it started as a honest proyect.
