Pros

The best reasons to work here are that your scope of your responsibilities and roles and your influence on the company are limitless. Those who are self-managers, take initiative, who engage in positive communication, and who aren't afraid to speak up and get involved can make a huge impact on the company, and on their own position in the company. The owners are VERY open to suggestions, and in learning what their employees feel will benefit the company, the customers, and the culture.

Cons

As with all small companies, one challenge is learning to multitask and wear multiple hats without feeling overwhelmed or falling behind. One thing I've learned to do is to be honest with myself and my employers when it comes to how much I'm handling and learning when to say "I need help." It's easy to get caught up in managing your tasks without turning to higher resources for assistance when needed.

Pros

Great people, flexible management, generous vacation time. As a developer you'll have many opportunities to affect the direction of the software and have a large impact on the company.

Cons

Sometimes you'll have a lot on your plate but you're going to get the same at any job worth the time.

Pros

- Freedom to work your way, if you know as much or more than management about something. - Attempts are made to follow Agile development processes. - A friendly atmosphere is shared by underlings.

Cons

- Management is high-strung and has a tendency to just micromanage when they really want to do something themselves. - Deadlines can be unrealistic. - They watch you through cameras when they are out of the office? I still don't understand that. - There is an invisible wall between employees and management due to unnecessary secrecy.

We appreciate your honest feedback. We have implemented many new ways to improve communication within the office - including an anonymous employee feedback system, a monthly newsletter, and an internal chat system. While we do have cameras located in key entry points of the office, these are nothing more than security cameras that are monitored by ADT security for the purpose of protecting the equipment in the office after hours, and are not pointed at or used to watch employees. We pride ourselves on hiring the best people around to work with, and trust each of them to do their jobs without being watched over.
