I have been working at Covance

    Pros

I love this team. Sarah Douglas is a wonderful people manager and clin ops manager. Chris McConachy is a bundle of energy and his enthusiasm is contagious. Clinical and start up folks are great friends.

    Cons

Really no cons specific to Covance. Usual CRO world challenges re 'more work in less time' mentality

I have been working at Covance full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Decent pay and vacation. Depending on the department, the work is engaging and the opportunity for advancement is A+

    Cons

The inlife or postlife departments are not the best place to work. It's ok if you love to work a LOT of overtime and be expected to put in 150% at all times with little to no compensation for it.

I have been working at Covance full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Okay pay and some what consistent hours

    Cons

you must need money more than you care for your physical and mental well being. I am a 23 year old who has watched my body and mental state dissolve into that on a mindless cog in this system while i watch upper management relax and chat as they make more and more money off the backs of, us, the laborers.

I have been working at Covance full-time for less than a year

    Pros

1 The work life balance is great. My family has had a series of needs in my first 90 days at Covance and my management and my teams have all been so understanding 2. Willingness to help- coming to a new company has meant that I am learning new ways to do things and everyone has been so helpful in providing me training and support

    Cons

    1. No standards within a sponsor group, so the client tries to leverage one lead against what another lead did previously. Which leads to wasted time figuring out if something should be done, getting access if it needs to be done, and doing work that is out of scope.

I have been working at Covance full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Covance is a company which is people focus and talent development focus. Management and managers are zoned in on ensuring that employees have the right skills, skills development and tools to carry out their job. Work distribution is consistently being reviewed. Progress improvement and sigma projects are a theme in the organization focusing on trying to make good processes better and the better even better. Employment and hiring is fair with multiple rounds of interviews by different levels and genders to ensure that there is no discriminations in any way. Training is very thorough to ensure that you up to speed with regulatory and regional SOP before you actually start work. Its a great place to work in with friendly people, co-workers and very engaged management.

    Cons

Bonus scheme was recently changed to only senior management and above.

I worked at Covance full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Cafeteria, Transport, zeta, team outings

    Cons

    1. Management is pathetic. They do not understand ground level issue (even if we say) and force us to do work overtime without any extra pay. 2. Well on holidays they will have mandatory OT. And you can't say no because it's mandatory. 3. Do not give value to their employees, managers are very unprofessional and every month there will be backlog... 4. Work life balance - zero..to maintain our mental peace we need time which they are not ready to give..weekdays work more than 12 hours depending on work and weekends mandatory or. 5. No good hike, no additional benefits nothing. 6. After an year everyone be frustrated and than ing comes in picture but the time to talk to your manager regarding imp. They say we will put you in pip. So apart from resignation you be not be having any other option.

I have been working at Covance full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Company with good reputation, good manager, feels like good career opportunities, sense of safety, feels like Covance takes care of their employees

    Cons

Salary is too low, still working as a consult, lacking bonus, lacking work-out hour (in Sweden it is very common to have one hour per week off for exercise),
