Pros

Some very good young professionals who stay at Cook 1-3 years before leaving

Cons

- Unqualified and inexperienced managers - Beware any group or company that needs to tell you how great their "culture" is so many times...because it is a myth. They treat people horribly. -HR team could not care less about people and management only concerned about protecting themselves - Internal problems with quality, recalls, backorders, all get pushed out onto the field sales teams and they have to pay the price both financially and with performance expectations.

Pros

Cantine is ok. Some nice people

Cons

High turnover which can be explained by: - poor salary - Terrible mid management, very poorly qualified. - Nepotism. If you are a family member or a friend, its fine. You will move up quickly even if an other candidate who has more experience and a degree apply for the same job. To be honest the people who are working in Cook can be classified in 2 categories: - the one who knows that they wont be able to get an other job somewhere else and need to pay for their mortgage and car loan. They usually stay there forever. - The young staff that need a first experience but move quickly to a more serious company

Pros

Warm culture, family owned company with Midwest values. Great launch pad for those trying to get into medical sales. Low pressure, little fear of being let go for poor numbers. (although that is starting to change slowly)

Cons

Low pay, high turnover. They do not come close to market value in salary. You're expected to grow year over year, against highly paid competitor reps, and you'll earn a few pennies. Upper management does not negotiate and they have blindfolds on with reality. At times it feels like the twilight zone. This is truly an opportunity to get into the industry and you should make an exit after 2-3 years to be marketable. Cook doesn't care, reps are disposable and they decide to spend their money on new hires versus investing it in loyal employees.
