Terrible practices, favoritism
Pros
Health Benefits, thats literally it
Cons
I worked at Madrone Crisis Residential. They have bad management. In a year I saw a lot of changes in supervisor and managers. Two different ones quit. Other staff at the agency came to help and left because it was a mess. Also saw a lot of other program specialists come and go. Turnover rate is high and its for good reasons. The supervisor has a lot of her family/family friends working there and A LOT of favoritism happens and click like behavior happens here. People she knows getting promoted before the agencies 6 month wait to transfer rule. You dont always get a lunch and they try to blame it on employees and make it mark it on your timecard as an unpaid lunch. They take good employees for granted who actually care about the mission, clients and the job. Many times this program is UNDERSTAFFED and wants to cut corners/save money and it comes at the cost of most employees not the agency. Not enough relief staff either. Pay is not great! Other similar programs for adult mental health residential work pay better. I dont recommend residential work pretty much at all but ESPECIALLY at Madrone. Dont even bother!!! Also Human Resources and Employee Relations person HR shares personal employee information with multiple staff in the agency and people they personally know who dont even work at the agency. In all honesty this is ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE WORST JOBS Ive ever had. I'm so relieved I no longer work here!
