Pros

has a pristine modern white interior

Cons

The sentiment of feeling disgust is very true. This is a company that will leave a resoundingly bad taste in your mouth. You will be told and sold on the idea that you are helping sick patients, when in reality you are inundating those who are often too ill to even vocalize their thoughts with a series of mandated calls that are being monitored on a big screen tv for all to see. Your numbers will be posted for all to see on a fervish basis, a continuous reminder that you aren’t doing enough. You will be forced into greed driven competitions that take advantage of these ill and sick patients, and the metrics will continue to increase month after month, so the company does not have to pay out as many bonuses. Have a very clear understanding that no matter how much they spruce up the semantics of the role for you in the interview process, you are in fact a glorified telemarketer of the worse kind. Having a wife tell you to stop calling her as she cries hysterically on the phone because her husband is deceased and should have been taken off the call list is a feeling you will never forget. The vast majority of positive reviews, as others have noted, are written by managers attempting to cover the reality that a myriad of changes need to be made to this abysmally corrupt company. The constant pushing of product on a helpless demographic begins to erode at your spirit if you have any modicum of integrity. You begin to be unable to shake a lingering feeling of dread in the recesses of your mind, bracing yourself for the next unpleasant encounter, all while management shouts at you to do more, to sell more, to push more. One reviewer pondered how they sleep well at night. Quite simply, they sleep beautifully at night; you are denigrated to a number and they make this emphatically clear by how badly they treat you. Their masterful ability to deprive you of any semblance of humanity allows them to treat those around them flippantly and recklessly, without a care in the world. You are just a number at this company, remember that. Speaking of management, I have never encountered a more incompetent, condescending, morally corrupt, and unethical management team in my entire working career. This is particularly important to note, because management sets the tone for the overall environment. A management team of this nature leads to demoralization, fragmentation interdepartmentally, and blatant mistrust and backstabbing behavior. A title is just that-a title. You are no better than anyone else simply because you hold the title of a manager. However, in this dictatorship of an environment, If you are not blind sheep who will readily nod your head to anything they say, you will have a tough time here. If you seek answers for the ever continuing nonsensical changes they make, often to the detriment of the team, you will be silenced, either overtly or covertly. They can never justify anything, including where these grossly inflated numerical goals are coming from, only stating it is your new norm and making it very clear that if you don't meet them, you will be discarded. The sense of being discarded is prevalent here. You are eminently aware that you are simply a number, and can be replaced at any time, for any infraction. The pervasive feeling amongst the team, at least those who refuse to be puppets privy to constant manipulation by managerial puppeteers, is one of resounding tension and fear. The amount of people that keep quitting should be a glaring sign that things need to change. If you seek stability, happiness, and equality, Atos Medical is not the place for you. Please heed the warnings and run away as fast as you can.

Pros

Good health insurance Temp to perm hiring means you can “try before you buy” so to speak Fun coworkers Stylish Scandinavian style office Staff is overwhelmingly female

Cons

Unrealistic sales goals cause desperate reps to commit fraud. New hires make more money than some employees who have been here 5+ years (probably because they realize they can’t hire a decent employee on what they pay their current staff). Company perks keep declining. What used to be a monthly catered lunch to celebrate the month’s birthdays was downgraded to a potluck on our unpaid 30 minute lunch break. Managers make huge changes without informing necessary staff. Company president makes jokes about “flying the plane while building it” which I do not find funny. Please put some policies in place. Employees stay a few months and move on. Certain employees love to tell HR about everyone’s supposed infractions. I don’t care that someone is wearing sneakers and neither should you. If that’s your concern you need more work to do.

Pros

First class products. Appropriate working tools, good quality of technology. Nice office location/environment (head office in Malmö,Sweden).

Cons

Where to even start? The list can be made long! Without being sure if management is incompetent or simply doesn't care - or both - but the employee tasks/targets are not just unrealistic, they are totally impossible. Even if head office located in Scandinavia, the management striving towards goals that battles against the local health care system. The ideal of helping people (patients) is a noble thought - but in real life, just bunch of empty words. Even if the products are very good and they indeed have helped many people at some point of their life, the concept of Atos Medical patient care is purely about financial gain. And of course, that's what making business is all about. ...But when the customers consist of sick, elderly people, the selling methods are not only unethical but also makes the work impossible to do. Let's say the task is to call patients who have difficulties in speaking due to the sickness - it's quite obvious that the communication is challenging. At the end of the day this only results that patients don't want to be helped by Atos Medical anymore. That's both bad marketing and bad business. Not to talk about bad treatment of staff who is forced to continue the same method over and over again. There are many competent, talented and engaged people working in this company. And there are at least as many of those who have left it - because of lacking interest in management of listening their staff and respect the knowledge/experience they have, in order to improve. Unfortunately many of these stories of huge disappointment of how this company has let the staff down and used them, won't ever reach the daylight, since many of these employees have simply been paid out to keep their lips sealed. This, if anything is just one drop in a long chain of all the unethical aspects raising against the company code of conduct. Trade unions eyes' been onto this company in several occations. The head office atmosphere is generally tense as result of management by fear. This kind of working environment is far away from a typical Scandinavian work place, where often comfort and equality are highly rated. The result of psychological manipulation makes the staff wander around the corridors pale as ghosts, never sure what to be expected next. Because that's another typical recognition fact of this company: you never know what to expect. Disicions are made very fast, often without proper research and background knowledge. When one walks through that office door in the morning, one never knows what to expect - termination, upgrade, change of plans, crash boom bang. This might sound as exiting and fun - but eventually is just poor management, lacking structure and incapabel long term stable planning. There is no ending of this long list of cons of this company run by ego tripped, psycopathe management. Unfortunately this reflects through all levels of employees.
