This company is a disaster

Pros

There are still a few good people left.

Cons

Horrible CEO and leadership. Culture of fear and no motivation. They treat the employees like cattle. They acquire companies, then cut spending to the bone to save money. The problem is that they cut the higher salaried employees which tend to be the best employees, they cut development, cut marketing and sales, cut support staff and then they wonder why the company is struggling and losing clients. They start blaming the employees left for the sad state of affairs that they created. Everyone is either leaving or trying to leave. Don't go near this company! Also, beware of some of the good reviews written on Glassdoor- they are fake reviews written by certain internal people to try and compensate for all the bad reviews.

Pros

Prior to Anju buying out the original owner, OBA was a company that treated each employee like family. Due to the way employees were treated, you wanted to work harder and become better. Working late nights, early mornings, and weekends is not something someone wants to do, but you did it because the owner and management recognized what you were doing and furthered the success of the company and client base. This was prior to Anju Software Inc.

Cons

Prior to Anju taking over, there were 41 employees not counting the owner. Once Anju took hold, 5 employees had quit and 9 had been released. 34% of the employees separated from the company directly due to Anju's ownership, 6 of those employees were terminated after the last signature was signed on the day of the transition. There is no coaching and only reprimands. If you make a mistake, instead of being coached so you knew your mistake and knew how to prevent it, you are told how inadequate you are. Feel free to look at AFS Technologies as well on Glassdoor, another company under the same management team.

Anju Software Response

Thank you for your feedback. Anju has taken a very proactive approach with it's employees. With the acquisition of any company, there is always transition. There is an 8-week onboarding experience in place that has received fantastic reviews. Everyone is assigned a mentor, as well. Leadership is listening to all employees. At the end of the day, a business aligns itself with the right team to make the business prosperous. OBA is doing just that.

Great Experience While it Lasted

Pros

The environment was wonderful, learned so much working here. It was a crash course in SDLC in a specific industry with rigorous standards and great people. Environment was casual, and the culture was friendly and felt like a family.

Cons

The company was sold, and a good number of the development staff were let go. Culture started shifting, and morale dropped to the gutter. No communication was really provided regarding the acquisition, other than being told that no one would be laid off and nothing was going to change. In the end, that was not true. While I was not involved in any meetings to experience myself, my understanding is that the new CEO is not very understanding, and can be verbally abusive to others.
