      Smart colleagues and strong management support, but slow decisions

      Pros

      Lots of smart people. In my overall major org there was lots of buy in from upper level management, so funding was good and we could hire.

      Cons

      Lots of bespoke engineering work that didn't help me keep up with ML/AI trends. A great deal of collision of priorities among projects, leading to deadlock and waiting for VP's or Directors to decide things about person allocation.
