Two words: Toxic Leadership. It all starts from the top. The leader of this company is the ultimate keyboard warrior, the patriarch of passive aggression, the chieftain of condescension, the superintendent of Slack attacks... I could go on, but the point is at the top of this company, which mind you offers a GOOD product/service, is who I consider to be a petty, uninspiring and ineffective leader.
As gravity dictates, sludge rolls downhill. Senior leadership take on the brunt of the toxicity but despite their efforts to contain it, it leaks into their interactions with their direct reports. It’s unavoidable.
