Forget about work life balance, this place will run you into the ground. The office is often regarded as a modern day sweat shop. It is all about production numbers, your production will be posted within the engineering offices for everyone to see with not much consideration to complexity or size of projects worked on. Vacation time can be difficult to get scheduled due to never ending deadlines. This is a sales based CAD position with most design considerations being dictated by the sales personnel, it's all about the sale not quality of design. Many of the sales associates are not technical and do not have a good understanding of ADS products and how they work and perform. The company is moving away from typical autodesk products and using an ADS tool for drawings. Training does not exist, you get about 10 minutes on a product and are expected to know it.

There isn’t much good to say in my 5+ years with ADS. Once you are hired, you’re stuck in that spot for good unless you have an in with a click. They don’t have any career opportunities programs to help advance your career. Very discouraging day in and day out knowing nothing better can come along with hard work and determination. I dreaded coming in every day, even stressed enough to effect my life out side of ADS. Cant be more happy to have left. Very little pay with position I came into with minimal raises. The morale at the plant level is also extremely discouraging. There was a new face every day with turnover rates sky high. Putting people into certain positions because of who they know really helped create this environment. Coming from someone who was in a management role.
