The most toxic management environment I have ever encountered. Everything branch and division chiefs crusading to get employees they don't like fired, or their clearances yanked, to watching two branch chiefs literally try to get each other thrown into *prison* because of a personal argument they had over a decade before. AWFUL work environment, unless you are one of the "in" crowd. Admittedly, my experience is well over 10 years old. But I doubt it has improved.

Hard to change career paths or areas of specialty if you work in the same area for years. So the only option for change becomes to move up into a manager or supervisor position.
