Pros
My favorite workplace in my 15+ years working in the IT & Communications industry. Work-life balance is great as this company is pro-remote. I've had 5 different managers here, all of whom were fantastic. I've been promoted twice, with senior job titles and significant pay bumps. I've also received multiple recognitions and awards, some monetary. 8x8 hires great people. My colleagues across the globe and from all different teams are top-quality. Diversity and inclusion are still celebrated, even in 2025. The company heavily invests in innovating its products and services, so it's a culture of constant improvement and excitement.
Cons
Lack of job security. Working for a global tech company, you have to be prepared to be let go any day, regardless of your loyalty, position, or performance. Even though I've not been affected so far, it's unsettling to see so many colleagues abruptly let go over the years. It's been disruptive on a productivity level, and heart-wrenching on a personal level.
