I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Free gym membership, that's all.

    Cons

Revolving door of employees due to bullying managers and very poor supervision of each location by an uncaring corporate staff.

    Service Manager in Scottsdale, AZ

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness for more than 3 years

    Pros

Possibility for flexible schedule, good bonuses if you make the sales goals, you can meet fun and friendly people.

    Cons

Sales goals can be hard to reach in different areas. Seemed like management was encouraged to be very demanding. Pretty low base pay. In my experience, not great work/life balance as a Service Manager.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Free membership and discounted personal training. You get to create relationships with members which is a plus.

    Cons

-Very low pay, never any opportunity for raises. Unless you have the desire to "move up" they could care less about the hard work and effort you put in. -There is always constant shifting in managing staff and all they care about is bringing in money. The membership team does not genuinely care about people's health or fitness goals, basically if you were not interested in buying right then and there they don't want anything to do with you. (And god for bid you ask to get a guest pass) -The practices of 24 Hour Fitness are extremely unethical, whatever cost they could cut they would. The older clubs are not taken care of what so ever. Members are always complaining of things breaking or being outdated and there is only ever one technician to fix things.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great gym membership with access to all locations. Great customers

    Cons

Club, fitness and service managers take the fall for bad forecasting by upper management! Have realistic expectations! Hire better managers, not just people who can sell! Selling is part of the business but do it with integrity, not being shady!

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Everyday work was a fun environment! It was an energetic, healthy and upbeat workplace. Customers were typically a joy to service and staff enjoyed working together...

    Cons

There was a disconnect between the Corporate office staff and the club level staff. As a Manager I worked very hard and had such minimal recognition for the hard work invested.
