Adhesive Technologies

Did you know that 70% of all smartphones worldwide contain adhesives from Henkel?

High-tech products for airplanes or Pritt products for school use: Adhesives have developed into a key technology and have become an integral part of our everyday life: furniture, diapers, wallpapers, packaging – there is a long list of things that wouldn’t be working without them.

Beauty Care

Did you know that every second more than 20 hair colorants from Henkel are sold worldwide?

Schwarzkopf, Fa, Syoss: The business unit develops, produces and sells numerous successful high-quality products (hair, body, skin and oral), which are available in 150 countries worldwide. Henkel Beauty Care is active in the Branded Consumer Goods as well as the professional Hair Salon business. Schwarzkopf Professional for instance is among the world’s three leading suppliers of hair salon products.

Laundry & Home Care

Did you know that Henkel sells detergents for around 25 billion wash loads per year?

The Laundry & Home Care business unit is the cornerstone of Henkel’s success story: The company’s first product was a laundry detergent based on sodium silicate, named “Universal-Waschmittel” (universal detergent).

Since then, this branded consumer goods business has grown into a globally active unit with well-known brands, such as Persil, Purex or Pril. For consumers around the world, our brand names have become an integral part of their daily lives.

    I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Henkel (Bridgewater, NJ (US)) in February 2018.


    Six 45 min long interviews, followed by a group task. Questions were intended to understand the thought process and flow of ideas, not necessarily knowledge. Most questions were about previous experiences.
    The group task was not very well designed. Together, all interviewees had to assess the financial performance of a company and suggest improvements. While it relied heavily on collaboration, the presentation did not help candidates highlight how their contribution influenced team decisions. The activity was severely constrained by time, having just 45 mins.
