Project Engineer – Kinleith Mill

Our Industrial team is delivering a significant and varied portfolio of work for a key client at their pulp and paper site in Kinleith. We manage a mix of capital and non‑routine maintenance projects through a dedicated onsite team, supported by specialist expertise from across our regional offices.
We’re looking for a Project Engineer to join this driven, collaborative and supportive site‑based team. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same, offering exposure to a broad range of engineering and project activities, with plenty of opportunity to learn, grow and take on increasing responsibility.
He aha tāu mahi | What you’ll be doing
Deliver a range of engineering tasks with increasing scope and responsibility, supported by senior engineers
Apply engineering standards, procedures and best practice to analyse and progress technical matters
Prepare accurate, high‑quality documentation that meets project and client requirements
Contribute proactively to project delivery through effective collaboration, meetings, and day‑to‑day coordination
Communicate clearly with team members, managers and clients to manage expectations, progress, and timelines
Work safely and collaboratively, complying with HSE requirements and supporting colleagues as needed

You’re a project-focused engineer with experience in an industrial or consulting environment. You communicate confidently, build strong working relationships and enjoy coordinating people, tasks and technical outcomes. Organised and curious by nature, you take pride in delivering high‑quality work and seeing projects through.
Role Requirements include:
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Project management qualification and/or demonstrated project management experience
A strong customer focus, problem‑solving mindset, and willingness to take ownership
Experience in pulp and paper or supporting shutdown projects is highly regarded, but not essential.
