Orbit Energy Group Limited is seeking skilled and reliable Cooks to join its team in the Hanmer Springs. We are looking for motivated and reliable individuals who can contribute to a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment and support the smooth operation of the business. The role involves assisting with meal preparation while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen operations are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare, cook, and present a range of hot and cold food items, including ready-to-eat meals, snacks, sandwiches, savoury products, and bakery items in accordance with company recipes and quality standards.
• Plan daily food production requirements and ensure adequate quantities of food products are available to meet customer demand.
• Measure, portion, and prepare ingredients to support efficient kitchen operations
• Organise and prioritise cooking tasks to ensure timely preparation and smooth service delivery
• Safely operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
• Plate and present meals according to presentation standards, ensuring consistency in quality and portion sizes
• Assist with ordering food supplies and monitoring inventory levels to ensure continuous availability of ingredients and products. Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by assisting customers with product enquiries, taking food orders, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements
• Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
• Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and provide a high standard of customer service.

You are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $25 and $35 per hour.

Requirements for the role:

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or at least a relevant Level 4 qualification.
• Availability to work on weekends.
• A hardworking and passionate individual with a strong work ethic.
• Physically fit to stand for extended periods.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
