I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at dataxu (Boston, MA) in May 2018
Interview
Very buttoned up from an HR perspective. I always knew what was happening and well prepped for who I would meet etc. The in person interview was between 3-4 hours after the initial two phone conversations which were about 30 minutes each. In general interview questions were average, hiring manger was a bit of a tough interview but was likely a reflection of our similar personalities. Only watch out or less than positive thing about my interview experience was a rather large gap in understanding of what the role would entail from the job posting and the phone conversations to the expectations of the role that were presented in person during the in person interview. Essentially, the role was written as a team lead of a client service function but was actually very focused on go to market/ sales. I was a little disheartened by this as it might I wasn't a great fit for the role and would suggest that dataxu update their future postings accordingly. I do believe this was a very recent shift in the objectives for that particular team but still would have been nice to know prior to committing to an on site interview. All in all a very pleasant interview experience and I would recommend looking into career options with them!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at dataxu (London, England) in May 2016
Interview
I have applied for the role online and after a week HR invited to the first screening call. Prior to that they send you personality test were you need to select adjectives around yourself. Call was held with two HR managers, questions mainly about company culture, expectations, learning, your contribution to the business, strengths, weaknesses. Within 2 days I was invited to the 2nd phone screen call with hiring manager. It took around 20-30 min, quick standard question session on experience and expectations. After this I've been invited to come to London office and have interview with the same hiring manager. Interview was rescheduled several times which was already very strange. Face2face meeting went well, standard questions on experience, expectations, strengths, weaknesses, pros and cons from previous company, why you want to join DataXu, etc. By the end of the meeting I was given positive feedback and they see me as part of their team as I can contribute with good experience, also I was told HR will reach me soon for the 4th final interview that sound very promising. I had followed up with thank you note showing my interest to join the company and the most odd thing happened. A week after I got generic automated rejection message without no feedback. I made one more follow up at least to find the reason and thank for the experience and they had never responded to me. I believe after 3 interviews you at least deserve to get feedback. I found it simply unprofessional and disrespectful.
