First part was a HackerRank Test, tried the sample which was straightforward and then went onto the real test and was asked for access to my camera so declined and abandoned it there.
I regard this as invasive and unnecessary, showing a lack of trust in the candidate, especially as this doesn't reflect the real world.
I suspect many other people would also find this stressful and distract them from what they are actually meant to be doing.
Given Bet were not offering any increase on my current salary and I am fully trusted to do the job I do with autonomy backed by over 25 years experience I already felt somewhat uncomfortable sitting through two hours of an online test so requesting access to my webcam was the straw that broke the camels back.
I appreciate that others may be happy with this procedure
