- Initial screening call
- ~1 hour with VP of engineering + another engineer, walking them through code + functionality of a project I built
- 8-hour (of which, 6 were paid for!) "virtual on-site"
-- ~5 hours pair programming with VP, split by a 1-hour lunch with misc employees
-- 1 hour with CTO, talking about experience and conceptualizing a feature
-- 1 hour with CEO, talking about my motivations, and generally just getting to know each other a bit
I'm largely posting this review because I saw all the negative interview experiences and the CTO mentioned they just revamped their process. I thought the whole process was very smooth. I especially appreciated that they were always clear on next steps, my time pair programming was compensated, and they gave me sincere feedback on why I didn't receive an offer.
As an aside, I'm excited to see Wefunder grow! They have a very talented and friendly crew, and I definitely got the feeling that they're in a transformational period of their growth-- trying to figure out how to implement just the right amount of process to sustain the company long-term without sacrificing the scrappy, hackerish nature of the culture.
