I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Walt & Company (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2021
Interview
The interview process was easy and very comfortable! Seems like a great company to work for. I would love to work for them and their company. They seem to be very understanding about how covid has impacted employee moral.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walt & Company (Campbell, CA) in Dec 2019
Interview
Met with the owner and multiple employees in their office. It looked like a storage room to start and I stood there for a few moments before a woman in jeans and a tee shirt, with her headphones on, greets me as if she is very suprised to see me. They take me into a storage room I would guess. Bob Walt is the first to interview me and asked very little about me. He preceeded to talk about his company and the work they do before leaving, without asking more than 2 questions about my experience. Katelyn was the next to interview me and I felt as if I was being drilled with questions. She only asked questions about recent news and naming news sources I am interested in. She asked so many questions, back-to-back, giving me no time to process or think. The whole time I spent with her was very unpleasant, she seems quite hostile. Lastly Jane asked some questions about my previous experience and it was the only positive interaction I had the whole time I was in their office. Never got a call back but needless to say, I did not want one.

Interview
I sat down in a freezing cold office and waited for the founder of the company, Bob Walt. He hammered me with questions, frequently interrupted me, and asked me why I didn't study abroad in college. When I told him I couldn't fit it into my curriculum and that I felt it was expensive, he pointed to my resume, implied I live in a "rich area" and said my parents could probably have afforded it. I have never been at more of a loss for words, offended, and angry. I felt like he was criticizing my life choices more than he was interviewing me. I don't know if I have ever felt so belittled or discouraged.
I had three more rounds of interviews in that freezing cold room, answering the same questions over and over again. Turns out they really liked me and followed up with a special project I had to complete. So I completed the intensive project, which took up a lot of my time, and never heard from them again, after a number of follow-ups! This company is extremely unprofessional. Their other negative interview reviews do not surprise me one bit.
