      Human Resources Manager Interview

      1 Jun 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Baton Rouge, LA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at W. R. Grace & Co. (Baton Rouge, LA) in Apr 2020

      Interview

I actually was contacted by their corporate recruiter to apply. If I was send a resume-which I did. He responded a few days later & asked me to “apply” online so that we could “have a conversation” which I was glad to do. Included with my resume was a brief cover letter addressing the depth of experience I had in unionized manufacturing, facilities, two at flagship sites. Yadi Yadi. 1 month later, I get a “we’re not moving forward with you candidacy but feel free to apply again”. Why ask someone to apply when you have zero intentions to actually talk to them? You’re hiring a professional not a resume. I can only conclude this HR team has some challenges ahead. Grant it, nobody wants to make a bad hire however keeping a key position open for 6 months only creates more scrutiny with headcount. Rainbows & unicorns only exist in a world we all wish existed. . God bless your site leadership & I hope you support your organization with the sense of urgency they deserve.
