I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals
Interview
The interview process was interesting. Went like Recruiter screen > Manager phone screen > In person (4 people 30 min ) Plus 1hour activity and 30 min review after.
Here is where the thing being nice ends! The recruiter will not get back to you about the results. When you do write back they say we are interested in your candidacy but going through the other interviews. Many weeks later you dont hear back much.
Advice: If you take up 4-5 hours of someone's time be sure to respect it and let them know the result.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Boston, MA) in Oct 2018
Interview
After applying online, I was contacted by their Talent Coordinator to set up an initial phone screen. The time we agreed upon was changed a couple of times, but ultimately the call went well and I was passed on to the hiring manager. Once again, I was asked to reschedule a few times, and wound up speaking to an entirely different person than the one I was expecting. This call also went well, however, and ended with the hiring manager suggesting that we set up a time for me to go on-site to meet the team.
Two weeks passed and I heard nothing. I reached back out to the Talent Coordinator and never got a response. Overall, it was a terribly organized process, handled horribly by each member of the team. "Ghosting" someone who has set aside time for multiple phone screens is incredibly unprofessional.
