The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verily in Sept 2021

      Interview

Interview process went well. Initially I had received news that I had not gotten the position which was a bummer but hey that's life and we move on. I went on to get another job. The hiring manager's came back to let me know that their "first person fell through" and that they wanted to know if I was still interested in the position. Of course I said yes and proceeded with the hiring process and even let my employer know I had to leave the job and also turned down Pinterest for this job. I was setup for my start date and had received my chrome thinkpad laptop. On a Friday afternoon 3 days before my start date the recruiter gets an email that the position is closed AGAIN! I came in on Monday thinking I still had a job and when I went to login to the laptop Google said they could not validate my credentials. That's when I saw the email on my phone from the recruiter and to give him a call. He broke the unfortunate news to me and sadly I wasn't really in shock this has been the second time Google/Verily does something like this. Either they're very unorganized or this is an experiment they are conducting. This is something unheard of in other companies. I'm not sure how this is even legal and how their HR is allowed to operate like this. It seems like they're very unsure of what they need. It's too flaky.
