      Virtual Assistant Interview

      11 May 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Vausa® in May 2022

      Interview

While the initial interview was fairly straightforward, I was disappointed to learn that the second stage of the process is a week long training class that is required and unpaid. Because this course is considered part of the interview process, the company is able to get around having to pay prospective employees for their work and completing what they call the "VA Basics Classroom" is not even a guarantee that someone will be offered a position. It's been my experience that with companies like these, whose business practices are predatory at best and intentionally deceptive at worst, will use the information they glean from the "training class" for their own clients rather than hiring the work out.

      Question 1

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. As a part of our interview process, we do require applicants to complete a post-interview assessment to test their skills. We give candidates one week to complete this, but it typically takes candidates 2-3 hours total to complete. The assessment is not shared with anyone other than our hiring team, who does our best to match every prospective candidate with a client. If you find yourself looking for opportunities in the future, we'd love to have you reapply to join the team!

      Interview

Slow at first, but very strategic and methodical. The interviewers were very personable and made the interviews not feel so awkward and scary. Assessments were a lot, but also was refreshing to know they wanted to test you based off of what you say you’re good at.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vausa® (Dothan, AL) in Sept 2021

      Interview

The interview process consisted of an interview phase with VAUSA's matching team. Once I was hired on to VAUSA, I was then able to go through the matching progress. Once I was matched with a client based on my personality traits and my work experience compared to a potential client's personality and needs, I then interviewed with the client to see if they wanted to hire me. Once hired, I began a contract with my client and started getting paid. During the first 90 days, my client and I were walked through all the details to ensure we both knew what to do. I'm then able to open my availability to take on another client until I reach the workload I'm after.
