I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA) in Jan 2020
Interview
I applied for the TLP position, and shortly after Vanguard sent me a coding challenge to complete. It was done in Java, and were medium level leetcode questions imo. After I submitted it, I heard back from them a week later to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview went well and was purely behavioral. I scheduled a super day at their offices in Malvern PA. That day lasted from 7:30 am to ~3:00 pm. There was an hour long technical interview, where I was asked general technical knowledge questions about languages and mini programs, and an hour long behavioral. There was also a technical case question where we had 30 min to prepare and present to the interviewer, and a round table discussion. Overall, the interview process was nice and so were the interviewers. However, they took about 3 weeks to come back with a response, so don't expect to know how you did anytime soon.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a program that checks if two strings are anagrams.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard in Nov 2025
Interview
Phone interview that was conversational and had regular behavioral questions with some more technical questions (about risk/security) mixed in. They are kind of strict on time so did not get to ask many questions. Asked me for my salary range then proceed to tell me the baseline salary for the position which was not negotiable.

Question 1
Describe role-based, policy-based, and attribute-based access controls.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vanguard in Nov 2023
Interview
I did their online coding challenge (the same exam 3 times for 3 different roles, it didn't carry over). I got every question right and passed every test case but didn't move on. Clearly they don't respect their applicants' time
Had to take a coding test, then was given a standard phone screen. Received another phone interview before being invited to a "super day." Overall, the process was great, and the super day was structured well.
