I interviewed at Unlocking Abilities Behavior and Learning (Morris, IL)
Interview
A video call where they asked questions related to job history and experiences in other jobs. What you’d do in particular situations. It went well and I felt they were caring about what I was saying. They asked me to move onto an in person interview and tour of the facility tomorrow.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Unlocking Abilities Behavior and Learning (Morris, IL) in Jan 2023
Interview
The first interview is about a 30-min zoom interview with the clinical coordinator, Elizebeth. She asks standard questions about your experience, availability, and strengths/opportunities. She spent a lot of time getting to know what I was looking for, making sure I understood the role and if it met my needs or not, and learning more into how I learn best and what gets me excited to come to work everyday. I was then invited for a one hour, in-person, 2nd round interview. I was sent an email with the companies dress code, a confidentiality agreement, and a UABL Job Application with a reference sheet. She made a point of letting me know they do call references and requested I give my references a heads-up to look for her call. The 2nd round interview takes place at the Autism Learning Center. That interview was with the CEO, Jamie. I was given a tour of the facility. We sat down and completed the second round interview which was a bit more in-depth. Then, I was given an opportunity to shadow the center for about 5-10 min to see what the day-to-day work was like. I was then brought back into the office to discuss my observation, provide follow up questions, and talk about next steps. The interview itself isn't extremely difficult in a technical sense. Jamie and Elizebeth were both very easy to talk to. The interview required more introspection than I was expecting.
