I interviewed at University of Chicago
Interviewer dependent. PI was rude and condescending. Asked about my background as stated on my resume - which I was fine with - but as soon as I would speak, would cut me off and say 'ok, anyway.' He then gave me a brief run down of the work environment/duties and then ended with a misogynistic speech.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at University of Chicago
It wasn't that bad. I submitted an application online and I was surprisingly shocked that I received an email and phone back about 2 weeks later. Set up the interview. Two weeks after that I did my interview. Invited back for a 2nd interview after a week. Got an offer a week later.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at University of Chicago in Jan 2009
After phone interview, I got onsite interview. I did presentation in group and talked to all the members for a whole day. Because the direction is exactly the same, nothing hard questions were brought up. They were nice. The environment and work culture is just average.
