Was contacted by a recruiter one week after sending in my online application. Passed the phone screen, where I was asked a series of yes/no questions and talked briefly about my experience (e.g. Are you willing to work for X amount of money/hours, etc.?). Things got strange after that. The job description and my recruiter stated that a writing test would be given after an interview with the Hiring Manager. Instead, I received the writing test first. I received an automated rejection email two days later; this was after having been sent info about the company's benefits package, exchanging emails with the Hiring Manager, and being told to prepare for a phone interview. I never gave an interview; the interview process and job duties were not what I had been told. Was left with a negative impression. I will not be applying to this company again.
