      Student Administrative Assistant Interview

      15 Jun 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I interviewed at UC Irvine

      Interview

The interview was very odd. Asked fewer behavioral questions and more specific questions about the position. The main interviewer also did not mention that I would be interviewed by a panel of 4-5 people. It was hard to be personable since the main interviewer didn't seem like they wanted to be there. They also had an activity at the end on prioritization and you had to explain why you chose what you chose. I thought it would be easier since this is a student position.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

If you could teach one class, which would it be?
      Answer question

      Question 2

Have you had any experience with event planning? What is the most important aspect of event planning both virtually and in person?

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UC Irvine (Irvine, CA) in Apr 2014

      Interview

They asked me pretty basic questions. Most of the time they were just talking about the position and what it entails. It's an easy interview to be honest. Just be yourself, they just want someone who is reliable and trustworthy enough to handle their admin work. Just smile and be positive!
