Glassdoor Review – Interview Experience at TransUnion Bangalore Title: Unorganized and disappointing interview experience – complete lack of planning and empathy Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5 stars) Interviewed at: TransUnion, Bangalore Position: SDET Interview Mode: Face-to-Face Walk-in Date: 12 April 2025 My Experience: I had a very disappointing experience with the interview process at TransUnion Bangalore. The entire event felt rushed, poorly organized, and lacked basic coordination. I arrived at the venue at 9:00 AM sharp, but my first round didn’t happen until 2:00 PM. Before the interviews even started, I overheard some interviewers openly saying that they had already finalized candidates but were still conducting interviews just because people were called in. This felt very demotivating and unprofessional. The first round was taken by Deepak and Sounya, and although it went okay, it felt rushed and mechanical. After waiting further, I had my second round with Shruthi, which lasted barely 10 minutes. She asked just a few questions, all of which I answered correctly, but the round ended abruptly. After that, someone told me they would discuss feedback with their U.S. counterparts and update me soon. While I waited near the organizing team to thank them for their hard work, a girl randomly came and informed me that I was rejected — without any closure or explanation. Key issues with the process: No proper interview schedule — candidates were interviewed randomly, not on a first-come, first-served basis. Many of us who arrived early (9:30 AM) had no interview till late afternoon. No basic hospitality — no lunch provided, we were asked to go outside to eat. The panel seemed uninterested, possibly unhappy about working on a Saturday just for pizza. Poor communication and lack of respect for candidates' time. This kind of treatment is disheartening, especially when candidates are coming prepared, serious, and hopeful. It reflects poorly on the company’s employer brand and values. Suggestion to TransUnion: If you’re organizing a walk-in or bulk interview drive, please have a structured process. Respect candidates' time, energy, and preparation — especially when they take an entire day out for the opportunity.
