I had a call with a nice recruiter followed by an interview with a nice manager as well. The conversation was mostly friendly. The technical interview was a mess, I was interviewed by a Ruby on Rail developer and a React Developer. they were both in a bad mood that day and didn't even chat and just went straight to the technical interview. They asked me to write a JS promise from scratch, I never wrote one in my 12 years of experience as an engineer. I have always just used them but never had to write one. regardless, it was a mess as the interviewer girl was also looking at another tab and couldn't explain things for me very well. I then asked them to finish and she kept looking at another tab in a browser and copying and pasting the answer. How are you going to ask someone to solve a puzzle if you can't do it yourself either? In any case, it was humiliating and I hated the process. Both were fake polite passive-aggressive engineers fresh out of college and enjoyed humiliating candidates just to feel good about themself. I have asked them to stop and ask me questions about mobile development, React Native but they didn't and just kept going with their puzzle. in any case, their technical interviews are a mess and had nothing to do with mobile development.
