Started with a zoom call interview with an HR person who was very professional- spoke about ambitions, goals, school coursework that was relevant to the position, and about the company. Went for an in-person interview, and the Engineering manager didn't show up- just some other manager and the HR person whom I had an initial interview with. The manager had conducted most of my interview, standard questions such as "tell me about yourself", "how is school going", "how do you work in a team". Where it got personal was when the manager kept questioning "why I wanted to do engineering", and actually asked me that twice. He then continues to pester me about it and said "well, are you sure you want to do engineering", and "did your parents force you to do engineering?", and by then, I was done with the unmotivating and unprofessional manner that I was being interviewed. If they didn't want me- the HR person should have cut the interview short. Unprofessional, rude, and I honestly felt degraded. Don't bother applying to the company- not worth proving yourself to a company that won't even treat you with respect during the interview process (which is supposed to be the honeymoon period by the way)
