*I was an out of state applicant, with an established place to stay.
*My interview was over the phone (since I was out of state), never in person.
*The interview wasn't very hard per-say, I'm not really that great at them though since I get nervous, I was pretty shocked actually that they called me back.
*I did have previous call center experience and customer service experience (3+years)
-After applying, you will get an email stating they are interested in you, fill out a Applicant Disclosure Form, you will get an email about a pre-employment assessment, (about a month later) got an email about when I'd like do an interview (you get to request 3 days and times), (4 days after the interview) got a call saying I got the job, got an email asking what days I'd like to work (they had two shifts available), do the drug test/background check, email with official conformation with information about training and anything you'd need to bring first day.
*Regarding the assessment; it will include a typing test and a virtual call center. You get to practice before each official test. The virtual call center includes things like "what's the best response in their level of effectiveness“, filling in names and numbers, looking up customer information, etc.
*It was about a month and a half process for everything to be done. The job started about 2 months after I initially applied.
*I will just let you know, I hated this job. The previous company I worked at was just so wonderful; maybe that call center spoiled me, haha. This place (State Farm) micromangages you to the extreme and you never feel rewarded for your sucess, just to "do it for the team". If others are failing, even if you excel, god damn it, excel even more than that! No good job, just a manager that wants themselves to look good so they can go up, you are not cared for as an individual. The pay is great(if you're just wanting to save and don't care whether you like a job, do this, you will make money), but if you can do well, once you get to 6 months, rush to get to a different position. Claims Express preferably. Thank me later.
