I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Starbucks in Feb 2014
Interview
- Applied and immediately contacted recruiter through LinkedIn.
- Received response about a month later (I kept sending "interest" messages through LinkedIn) and scheduled initial phone interview with recruiter.
- Provided with link to complete a virtual job demonstration and decide whether I'd like to continue or not.
- After VJD, schedule panel interview with two DM's.
Panel interview consisted of behavioral type questions graded on a STAR (situation, task, action, response) model. Interview should last about 60 minutes. Mine lasted somewhat longer.
I was called back the next day to verify my salary requirements and driving range. I was given an informal offer with my exact salary requirements the next day. I was given a formal offer (after background cleared) two weeks later.

Question 1
Only your standard behavioral questions with follow-on probes.
I applied online. I interviewed at Starbucks in May 2026
Interview
Super easy. Applied online. A recruiter reached out for initial interview, was about 15-30 minutes. Recruiter set up second interview with DM and peer DM for the following week. After that, was interviewed by the regional.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Starbucks (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2026
Interview
Two district sanagers interviewing over Microsoft Teams. Extensive, heavy "STAR" use required in questions with follow up questions from interviewers. 5 questions for me but our interview went nearly an hour, overall friendly.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Starbucks (Concord, CA)
Interview
You first have a screen with the recruiter, and she sets up time to speak with you. If you pass that, you get sent to the DM and interview with that DM and another DM and then usually decision after that.
