Initial interactions were excellent, felt there was support from the recruiter and the various individuals I had a chance to meet. Screening led to a presentation, then a manager alignment and strategy portion, then a collaboration portion, and a values portion. Overall, design individuals across this organization are warm, welcoming, passionate, and engaged during the interviews. My only qualms were the Co-Founder was in my collaboration session alongside another leader, and it was a terrible call. No personality, interest, or engagement; asked one-dimensional questions, seemed to show no human connective empathy, so uncomfortable and hostile. I provided this feedback to the recruiter upon my follow-up. The interview feedback conveyed that everyone enjoyed my approach and felt I was fit except the co-founder. The feedback was so beyond off-base simply because he lacked the directive to give a formal interview to a person who was more lively than them. I would suspect misogyny, but it won't ever get fixed because they're a co-founder.
