Had a brief call with HR where the job description was fairly vague. Conversation was more around company culture and their growth, which was quite impressive.
Second round was an all-day interview including a presentation. They provided an outline of the presentation topic, but it was fairly vague on what they were actually looking for. After the presentation there was a few Q&A sessions with various people within the company, but it felt as if they were simply looking for ideas and not actually looking to hire someone for the role. When pressed about details of the position and company, they provided fairly broad answers that showed there wasn't really any processes or strategy in place and they were simply addressing things as they came up. When asked about their future goals and how they plan to reach those, their answer was "we're not really sure, but we're confident we'll get there."
It's clear that they aren't capable of managing the growth their experiencing and are shooting from the hip without a strategic plan. My assumption is they are aiming for an acquisition and simply trying to bandaid the process until the acquisition happens.
