I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Social Sensei (Brooklyn, NY) in Sept 2018
Interview
The manager of Social Sensei had applicants fill out a questionnaire on Google Form. It asked questions like what do/don't you like social media, describe a time when you exhibited integrity, and the #1 tool or technique that you employ in your life.
The overall interview lasted for about twenty minutes at a WeWork space in Brooklyn. The interviewer said he wasn't so much concerned about a candidate's educational credentials but more on their personality type and how they would fit in into the workplace and with other personalities because "the actual tasks of the job are pretty learnable and easy." I would also learn that Social Sensei is expanding so he is looking to hire more people to on board their clients and to hire quickly. I was told there were 10 applicants and 5 or 6 open spots.
I couldn't exactly gauge my performance as the interviewer had another person to interview after me and ushered me out. I sent a thank you email to no response. Two to three weeks later, I sent another follow-up email to reiterate my interest to no response. Though I may not know the reason why I wasn't offered a position, a follow-up would have been a courteous and nice gesture.
