Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smartsheet in Jan 2024
Interview
Made it to second round- great communication from recruiter and hiring manager...typical behavioral questions and being asked to share work at a high level. This is always tricky because you want to go in depth with your process.

Question 1
Describe a time when your teammates had a different opinion on how to approach a problem.
Applied online, heard back from recruiter via email to schedule phone screen. After the call, was sent an email to provide availability for the next round, HM video call. This was a 45 min interview, where the HM asked behavioral Qs. The HM was pretty casual and the questions were pretty common ones. I didn’t find it particularly difficult or easy. I followed up with the recruiter one week after the HM call since I hadn’t heard back yet. I didn’t receive a response, but instead received an automated rejection email shortly after my follow up email. Personally, I feel that if you’ve already started interviewing with real people, then rejection emails should not be automated because it’s not a human-centered experience.
