The interview began positively with a thoughtful discussion about my background and experience. I was then assigned a 48-hour take-home case study that realistically required at least a week of work. I completed and submitted it on time, but never received any feedback. Even if my submission wasn’t what they were looking for, I would have expected at least a brief rejection email after meeting virtually over Zoom and then investing so much time and effort into the take home work. The assignment required me to quickly learn and apply several new tools and methods based only on a short text file of instructions, which made the two-day deadline extremely stressful. The lack of communication and respect for candidates’ time was very disappointing and unprofessional.
