I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SSENSE (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2021
Interview
First step was technical questions on hackerrank (very straightforward) and a one way video interview. Then an invitation for a 1 hour interview split into 30 min behavioural and technical.
Both mainly asked questions about background. Behavioural also asked a lot of questions about diversity, what it means to me, how I would handle conflicts (related to diversity) etc. They also asked how a company can be more diverse. It seemed like they were just looking for ideas on how to improve their situation. The interviewer also described the role as an internship while I had applied for a new grad position. They then looked at the file and went "oh right sorry, forget what I just said" and then described the role correctly... on top of that, when I asked about the company's culture, they said the company is still figuring out the exact words to describe its culture and they're not 100% sure what its like. I figured if you're working at a company you should know the culture, and not have to rely on company handing you the exact words to describe it.
The technical part was better, half of that was background as well after which they got into high level technical questions. Stuff like describing some of my side projects, what design patterns I used etc

Question 1
common behavioural questions + diversity + technical background and design patterns
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SSENSE (Montreal, QC) in Oct 2020
Interview
90 minute HackerRank challenge, then a one way interview and then a 1 hour behavioural/technical over video call. Very smooth process, recruiters were very responsive and transparent. They emphasize team fit and personality over technical skills, though you have to at least be able to solve the question they give to you.
